BruTile as NuGet Package

Hello Paul,

since you switched version control from Subversion to Mercurial, it is not that easy anymore to include BruTile as an external.
Therefore I think it'd be great if you could release it as a NuGet package for an easier integration in e.g. SharpMap, DotSpatial,...
projects.

For your convinience

That is a great idea. In fact bertt had already done this last month to play aroud with nuget. Yesterday I made a release an added it to nuget:

http://nuget.org/List/Packages/BruTile

Now we need to make sure it builds automatically:

I will try it out for Mapsui. But I expect it will be month before I can pick up some of the OSS work. Btw, it doesn't need any changes to the BruTile dll, but just changes in the build script of the project using it.

Hi felix,

Good idea! In fact bert temme already did this, intended as a test of nuget. Not sure if this version is good enough, i guess it doesnt need anything special. Do you know anything about this?

Two things i would like to get working with nuget are automatic building without including the dll in version control, and enabling stepping throug the code in debug mode, i guess it needs a pdb, i also heard something about symbol servers. If those work we could use it for many more things.

Cheers
Paul

Hello Paul,

I've had success resolving references via NuGet packages using the way described in the above link.
There is a follow-up though, that seems to be even more promising:

For symbol servers, see http://blog.davidebbo.com/2011/04/easy-way-to-publish-nuget-packages-with.html

They made it real easy now. I installed NuGet 1.6 and followed these instructions:
